Description

Icelandics are a land race chicken originating in the Icelandic Settlements of the tenth century in which the Norse brought their chickens with them.

These chickens are known in Iceland as Íslenska landnámshænan or “Icelandic chicken of the settlers.”

The Icelandics come in many comb shapes and colors.  This breed of chicken is extremely hardy and can handle harsh conditions. Egg production is phenomenal and the breed can lay in the winter time, making them a great addition to the sustainable farmer.

We offer 4 options to purchase our beautiful birds: Hatching eggs in a 6 and 12 egg count, straight run day-old chicks, and fully feathered 4-6 week old pullets (females). We will begin fulfilling orders first come, first serve, in April 2024 if not sooner.

Please note, at times,  we will send birds at 8 weeks of age. Some breeds are hard to tell genders until a later age and we want to make sure you get what you ordered.

We are an NPIP farm free of Avian Influenza and Pullorum/Typhoid

There is a 25% restocking fee applied to all cancellations.
