Pre-orders have opened for our Fresh Whole Guinea Hen. In order to get on the list, prepayment is required to hold your Guinea. We are limited on how many we will have available. Guineas will be processed end of October/early November, however we are flexible with this item with your schedule.
Our guinea hens are humanely raised on our farm, with no added antibiotics or growth stimulants, and in cage-free conditions. Guinea hen has a flavor similar to pheasant but with darker, mildly flavored. You can use guinea hen in place of chicken in virtually any recipe. The key is not to overcook as it’s lean and delicate meat.
The price for one Guinea hen will be $47 upfront. A Guinea hen generally weighs 2-3 pounds. Once purchased, the sale is final. Due to time constraint and doing the service, no refunds will be offered if the order is cancelled. Fed organically and on pasture. The Guinea Hen will be whole and bagged. Giblets will be included unless specified.
Cash on delivery is not permitted for this order item.
If you are in the Mount Dora area November 11 and 12, you are welcome to preorder and pick up at the Meet FL Meat event. We would bring the finished product to the event.
Please indicate if you would like the guinea fresh or frozen fresh due to traveling time and holiday schedule.
We are permitted through FDAC to sell poultry meat and eggs legally in Florida. We can only sell within Florida. Pick up at the gate or our farm stand when it is up and running. As soon as order is placed, we will contact you when we are close to processing to set up an appointment for pick up or delivery.
As in any CSA type share, if we are unable to fulfill this round due to unforeseen events, we will fulfill with the next round. All deposits and preorders are non-refundable.
